Who has removed there Camoplast Extreme 2.5 for a powerclaw?

Thinking about a new track. I have access to a 2.5 camo but wondering who out there has changed from the camo extreme to the powerclaw and what your opinions are.

I have two turbos with extremes and one with the claw. Claw gets my vote as the best track now. They just need to make a 174X16 for the yammi

I have an Exteme on my 08 M1000, and have spent the past two weekends on a modded 09 M8 with the Powerclaw. I like the Powerclaw, but I won't be taking the Extreme off of my M1000 to put one on. On the other hand, if the M8 were mine I wouldn't take the Powerclaw off to put on an Extreme. Both are excellent tracks, but I think there are some things each does a little better than the other.

we took the 2.5 off my 153 M1000 & are very happy with the choice. The downhill is SLIGHTLY worse, but still better than a stock camo IMO.

To lose that much rotational mass it's worth it to me. It also rolls MUCH easier, so less energy wasted to turn it.

I pulled the stock Challenger 162 off my 08 M1000 and tried the Camo Extreme. The Extreme trenched too much for me in fresh snow and would dig to the ground when it could. The stock Challenger track floats much better for me and now I have that back on. The softer durometer does not hook up as well on the hardpack nor will it win any drag races, but climbs much better in the fresh. I would believe that the Powerclaw would be a better choice for all around use.

I removed my camo-x 162 and installed the power-claw and i love the results so far. Only have about 200 miles on it so far but the difference in the fresh is unbelievable. and i hooks awesome on the hard pack too. Would never go back to the extreme. I may be a great track if your building a 180+ h.p.

Also the 2.5 camo 162 is for sale

just curious.... but has anyone tested the difference between the hcr powerclaw and the standard version??? does the stiffer durometer make much difference?

thanks

Track issues?

I'm installing a power claw on my XP, now that this one is up for sale! :p

Crap! You should have gotten that track for half price 'cause there's so little material in it. Is that your porting job or Doo's?

Powder Claw

Seth and I were riden a few weeks ago, it was a deep Utah powder day, we both have 900 cats, anyway I'm running the 2.5 Extreme and Seth just upgraded to the powder claw, I hate too say it but the Powder Claw just plain whoops the extreme in the deep powder.....;)

I switched from the 156 2.5 extreme to a 153 Powerclaw and would never go back. The Powerclaw is awesome.

i had a extreme on my m7 hated it it digs to china in the soft. put a p claw on and love it it gave me about 5-10mph track speed, hooks up great in the soft snow made it to were i want to turn out before i have to

The other day I was out with a d 7 turbo, d7 with timbersled rear suspension, an m7 with a cutler 1000 big bore and twins, along with some other sleds. All these other sleds had 155-153 tracks, and on a hill race my bone stock m1000 162 power claw beat each and every one of them consistently. There was only about a foot of powder, and even with the other sleds running in tracks, they still couldn't keep up to my 08 with a power claw, can, and 09 reflash.
