Who has put a 3" track on their Nytro

Building a new TNytro and thinking of trying a 162 or 174 X 16 X 3. Have a 162 X 16 X 2.5 on my current Tnytro but I hear the 3" really works good so would like to try one. Would like to hear from anyone who has put one on as to what is needed to be done to get the clearance for the 3" and whether it was worthwhile.

I was looking at putting one on my nytro and was talking to Motleyone as he seems to have built a few with the 3". But from what i gathered in order to run the 3" you just have to delete the front cooler.

I guess that would be easy, just fab up a blank plate to replace the front cooler. I already remove the rad and run a rear cooler and perimeter coolers (CR) so I would probably have to put the rad back in. I was thinking I would have to move the front cooler somehow to gain clearance, I never even thought about deletion. Anyone else ?

There is a company that modifies the front cooler so you can still run it and the 3". I think cr is offering this as well

I just finished doing one. I used the terra alps cooler and it fits perfect. It's a tight squeeze but it fits. Sled is hitting the snow very soon with pics to come

On my set up the front cooler is about half capacity from stock. I deleted the corner tunnel cooler and the rad. Just have Teds front cooler with Chads tunnel with the U cooler. Just filled it up and still have 4Litres plus of coolant. Running the 3 inch on the stand it make alot of wind LOL cleaned my toolbox right off:face-icon-small-sho

If you look at the "Crown Royal" thread a while back there is a good pic of teds cooler in there. FIt was very good and he made it so it is dooable in the sled....very well thought out actually.:face-icon-small-win

Talked to Chad and they offer a mod to your front cooler. Will be going that route and giving the 174 X 16 X 3 a whirl. Might have to turn up da boost :D
Will post some pics as it goes together.

SLY - Did you guys build a new sled? or just modifying the one you built a couple years back? Have you guys ran into issuses this year with the new single ply challenger extreme tracks not working with avids or what drivers you running? happy sledding, maybe run into you guys at Yamafest if they have it. cheers! CR

Building a couple of new sleds....."stock with a few bolt-ons" :face-icon-small-win. Gonna be tough to get a better running and performing sled than the last ones so figured on trying a bigger track to improve flotation/traction in the trees, sleds already will climb more than I want to, lol.

On the BackCountryRebels dot com Nikolai moved his front cooler not sure if it was enough to clear a 3" but I would think it is pretty close.
