Who has a Yamaha EF2400iSHC generator? Will it run your AC?

I'm buying a new to me camper. It's a 1999 5th-wheel 30ft Salem. From extensively searching all my options for a new generator(s), Ive narrowed it down to paralleling two Honda eu2000i's or one Yamaha EF2400iSHC.

At work our generator is a Honda eu2000i and it's the most reliable generator I've ever used.

Paralleling two Honda's would be ideal and I wouldn't have to worry about burning up my AC, but two Honda's would be $2000ish. The Yamaha is $1350ish.

With all the reading I've done I've found mixed reviews but 90% say that the EF2400iSHC will run a 13,500 BTU AC unit. It does not have a 30 amp receptacle.

Will it run your AC?

My dad has a Honda EU3000iS. It will start and run his AC initially and cool the camper down but it don't have the juice to restart the AC. To get the AC restarted he has to turn the AC off for approximately 30-45 minutes. I believe he has a 15,000 btu unit on his camper though.

Thanks guys, the trailer I'm buying is my grandfather in law's and we have went over it with a fine tooth comb and I'm thinking it's a 13,500 btu, the only thing I found was a part number and searched it and it came back as rotary compressor 13000 Btu/h? The Yamaha would be perfect if that's the case.

I think its going to be a great investment for my family. We love to camp and our current trailer just isn't big enough now that we have a baby. My generator I have now is a 1982 Honda and it was literally never started until my grandpa gave it to me in 2004. It was the back up for the back up generator for the dairy. It starts on the first or second pull every time and it could handle the new trailer, but its so dang loud and heavy that I think its time to put it back to the back up genny.

Good to know. I just picked up this same unit last fall from a CL guy selling all his stuff. I really wanted the Honda 3000 but this guy had this Yamaha near new for 500 bux!! I was hoping it would run the a/c also.
