Who has a untouch 2007 XRS?

I have an 07 XRS with 1700 miles on it and no motor issues at all. I have had some clutch issues and can't seem to keep my ECU dry! Other than that it's been a great sled.

Don't have that kind of miles yet but we have 3 151's in our group. All XRS's

2 have about 1300 and the other just turned 1K

Zero motor problems..... Original plugs on all, 2 still have original belt. I'm sure there are lots of them out there in the same situation.

My buddy moved his ECU onto the top of his oil resevoir....just used some velcro (easy fix)and he said it works just fine(i gotta move mine here )

We ended up moving the ECU on top of the resevoir half way through the ride (tieing it down with some electrical tape), after it had already been wet. It worked better but it still cut out on me a few times and wasn't reaching full RPM's for the rest of the day, I wonder if the little bit of water was effecting it or if it is my clutching that is not allowing me to reach full RPMs (I had to put on a new sheave and all my clutch updates were done probably 150 miles ago, also had a string coming out on a new belt after 20 miles).

I ran an 07 XRS, ported motor, 13p chain, alum bottom gear, etc.. 500miles.
No issues. Ran strong. Just sold it.

Success w/ the XRS or any Doo is all in the dealer's hands.
There are issues, the dealers fix them..

i have an 07 x 151 not the xrs, but i just blew my motor at 1800 miles and have had many clutch issues. 15 drive belts in 1800 miles. not so good IMO. i am hoping the new engine will fix the heat in my clutch.(maybe but doughtfull). i also moved the ECU up on the oil resevor and has worked great ever since. have you checked your wire connection for any moisture or corrosion. it helps to add some dialectric grease in the connection to prevent moisture build up and corrosion. it worked for me anyway.
