Apparently I pissed some one off with a political view I am guessing---What is up with going from a green rep to a red rep??

My opinion--If it can be changed that easily--the rep function is a waste of a function on this site--some yahoo under my rep--puts--you take it in the ----. What is the matter with this person?

Not the meaning, just the color. (nobody get any ideas). I know I upset people daily, on here and in person. If you aren't getting feedback you must be doing something wromg.

I usually don't reply to these types of threads, BUT... Here's my thinking on this issue. I think the whole rep idea is good. I just think it needs some tweaking. I think that, whether good or bad rep, the mods should somehow make it so that the person's name MUST come up. Then, at least, we'll have an idea who is giving good or bad rep points. It would be great to have to include a reason. Example: I think you're an azz bag BECAUSE.... (Not that I think you're an azz bag at all! I'm not sayin', just sayin'. Know what i'm sayin'?)

I agree.
THere are some that have discovered they can give each other rep.
This allows them to get supper amounts of it. When you have say, 40k+ rep points, you can REALLY swing someone elses rep.

They should limit it to one point. Each person can only give one point at a time. That would stop the rep games.

Hmm.... I wish there was a way to limit how much rep you can give... I like the idea of it increasing with rep/post count; those who contribute to the forum have more power both ways. I just want to control how many points I give.... I don't like this post 1000 points worth, but only 300....

The problem with the rep is that I could turn around and give them bad rep if I new who it was. I can also search them out on different threads and give them bad rep, even if they were helping somebody out and being a tribute.

Just someone doesn't agree with you or support your opinion doesn't mean ya should get negative rep. but that's how it goes just know ya did good in presenting your opinion and standing behind it without following the flock. I think if ya leave negative rep ya should sign your name but most don't in fear of retaliation.
