Does anyone else make anything beside BDX, and I think Cool Vents for the m series?

If it's an '07 or newer you don't have to worry about it. Electronics are different.

I've been thinking about doing a headlite delete but I heard it can burn out your ECU??? can anyone elaborate

I believe in 2007 Cat changed from an AC to DC electrical system so 07 and later can run without a hood or headlights no problem. Pre-07 require something to be added to draw the power the headlights would normally be drawing. If this isn't done the extra power in the system can fry the ECU.

I think...

headlight delete

BDX and 2 Cool Vents the only two out there. I thought maybe somebody made some chrome ones. Not necessarily looking for vented with this project.

You can buy the chrome headlight covers from Arctic Cat accessories catalog. Not a delete though.
I put the black covers on my 08 and they actually melt a spot about the size of a 25 cent coin on the actual headlight. Just a heads up on that.

light is from wall mart, i think its a 55 watt. nowhere near as bright as the stockers but will get you home in the dark, here in oregon you are required to have a working headlight/tailight so its on all the time. if you go with "cheap lights, like me:)" would use some good silicone to seal it up. found out the melting snow would get inside and burn out the bulb...

Is the headlight delete really worth it for only a 4lb loss. I guess the extra venting is the true benefit because I sure would not give up good lights for 4lbs.

I like the Mo Flows. I have all the Mo Flow vents on my sled but the headlight ones but I'll have them soon.

i have the bdx on my sled and the screen ripped agian in the trees i am buyer the moflow for on my sled

There's not too many places on the sled where you can lose 4 lbs for the kind of $$ you can drop lights for. There's a light called the lead dog light, goes on helmet, points where you do, works great. You don't lose 70 lbs off a sled 20 lbs at a time!!

But yeah, in my opinion the big gain is in the venting, with the mesh from www.extremetoyprotection.com I have a HUGE vent that pretty much eliminates all heat issues.
