who all here had the slp pipe but not the head?

i bought the SLP pipe can and y-pipe combo but no head . Seemed to run good but didn't see any performance difference aside from the weight savings so I ran an MBRP can with this combo also seemed to run good. and I ran my stock pipe and mbrp can and that seemed to run fine also. But it seems to run really hot or something because on long runs you can feel it loosing power eighter from the engine getting heat soaked or belt getting really hot . I wonder if putting heads on will help it cool better.

I ran the kit, without the head. I noticed a difference on the bottom end the most. A little in mid range. Gained some RPM. As for heat, I'm vented up so its not an issue. I like it, but I have done a few clutch secret's I'm very happy with that made a noticeable difference with the SLP kit.

I did it also. I put it on without running the sled, but I don't see any performance gians over other sleds with a can, but can you feel 4 h.p? I like the way it runs, sounds nice and lost some wieght. I did have a bog issue and I'm jetted to 460's now which is opposite most people have done. Good luck!

I bought the slp y pipe and pipe but am not doing the head. Anyone have the same? Hows things turning out?

Put on SLP pipe and Y-pipe with a MBRP can. Seems to rev quicker and pull a little stronger in the mid range. Added 13.8 RK-Tec head, jet down to 430, add about 5L of C-111 per tank, a little clutch adjust. Fun factor is way up. She rips:D If you are running just the SLP system I would stay with 470 -460s and raise the needle as it runs up to 1300+ in the midrange.
