White house threatens companies

I've been trying to follow this

But my sadness turned to anger later when I heard what bankruptcy lawyer Tom Lauria said on a WJR talk show that morning. “One of my clients,” Lauria told host Frank Beckmann, “was directly threatened by the White House and in essence compelled to withdraw its opposition to the deal under threat that the full force of the White House press corps would destroy its reputation if it continued to fight.”

Expect a whole new media distraction to come soon:mad:

Actually this is good.
THe media loves a good drama.
I have been seeing this more and more.
MSNBC calls it all a made up bunch of BS, however, a lot of the other major networks are starting to take a second look.

The Obama machine has been great @ creating issues that they want the media to feast on for @ least the last year. They need a new bad guy to sick the media on & create the distraction from the whitehouse's screwup.

Maybe Homeland Security's Napy will step up again:mad:

Obama’s attitude toward the rule of law is apparent in the words he used to describe what he is looking for in a nominee to replace Justice David Souter. He wants “someone who understands justice is not just about some abstract legal theory,” he said, but someone who has “empathy.” In other words, judges should decide cases so that the right people win, not according to the rule of law.

justice or rule of law ? Ethier way they got this one wrong! total B.S . f@@K the UAW

Obama, Emanual, all of his staff and most of his cabinet are just normal Chicago thugs, crooks and cheats. Strong arming anyone who opposes is their way of life. They don't know anything different. We now know not to expect any thing different. The thing is how do we GET RID OF THEM ? I have seen more than enough as I am sure most people have by now. My bulk fuel supplier asked me yesterday, How did this happen? Who voted for him? He said ,I never would have believed I would see anything like this in my lifetime. He is about 80. WE NEED TO GET RID OF HIM!!!

Anyone find it bs on the classification of retirement for past workers as unsecured debt?

What I find BS is the fact Obama has decided to repay the unions for their support in direct violation of the law.

Retirement IS unsecured debt.
That is why I have been saying the next great socialistic move will be to attempt to take over all 401k's and other types of retirement accounts by Obama and his cronies. They will use the excuse it is for our own good.

Obama has just made every company in the country think twice before entering into a contract without money up front.

Because the pensions are insured under the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp.'s. As required by law. So, you suggest that they be a secured debt, as well as a insured debt????????

Actually, there may be a reason for all of this. If Chrysler and GM both dump, along with a bunch of other companies, the masses of unhappy pensioners might go looking into why the Pension insurance corp isn't funded so well. And, the rules pertaining to private pension have been tweaked over the years.
