Whistler Snowmobiling Information

We are considering taking a snowmobile trip to Whistler this winter with an experienced group, the information I am finding is all Tour information. Can anyone give me some input on where to park and ride for great boondocking / hillclimbing areas? Any problems at the border getting sleds through (including mod sleds) and are special registration permits required?

You can go to Brandywine just before you get to Whistler which has tons of parking . Day trail pass is $15 last year probably same area this year. or you can go to Rutherford which is just past Whistler about 20 minutes but parking is somwhat limited but everbody always seems to fit. Trail access fee is the same. There are plenty of other awesome areas to ride between those 2 but you will want to be with somebody that knows there way around. Sleds across the border is no problem and mods are fine as well. You will want to carry some sort of paperwork that says you bought your sled in the states........ sometimes they ask for it sometimes they don't.

Cheers
