whistle and doggy bottom end on 2010 HCR

is a whistle comming from the intake normal?
the whistle seems to be getting louder after a few hundred miles, also Its very boggy even seems to want to die from time to time when i hammer the throttle, once the RPMs are up its seems fine....just disapointed with it being boggy, my buddies 2009 m8 is snappier

thoughts anyone?
