Which way to go: Shim kit or SLP pipe?

Pal has stock CF 8 SP -07. He'd like get more power so which way do you prefer: D&D shim kit or SLP full pipe setup? Power claims seems to be the same and no bd box is required.

There's lot of talking about SLP pipe and many seems to recommend that. But shim kit seems to be quite unpopular. Has anyone compared these two ways?

[RACINSTATION]

The shim kit is a way to raise the port timing without actually porting the cylinders. You will see more of a performance increase with the full SLP setup, but at your elevation I would recommend a fuel controller just in case.

Ok. We'll go with SLP pipe - as soon we find one.
He allready have bd box and digatron so only thing he's missing is the power

my slp pipe sure does look nice and shiney sitting in the box, in a weekend or 2 should be far enough along on the mods to actually put it on...

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a slp full setup, I sure hope the hype is true. Love my CF but needs a little more HP!
