Which single pipe 2009 m8

Trying to decide between the slp and the speedwerx single for my M. Looking for opinions on both. Does anyone know if a fuel controller is needed for the speedwerx? I know the SLP is good without the controller but I read a thread about hoods melting which I do not want.

I think the fuel controller depends on your elevation. Where are you at? I am looking for a single that you can run at low elevation without a controller...but I don't think anyone makes one.

I ride 6 to 9K. Slp's website claims you can run at any elevation without a control box

This is assuming that your sled has the same fuel pressure as there test sled. If your sled doesn't you will probably need a fuel box.

I run a Speed werx y & single Mbrp Can & bdx air box on the top end definetly need a controller but was told from mod shops if using the stock air box no fuel controler needed . Very happy with the pipe air box set up & controller TFI Wow that power from a single pipe. TFI controller better for simple mods imo and cheap like under 200 bucks but If setting up again would put power comander on instead

I have had good luck with the SLP set up as well as quite a few people on here. A while back Speedwerx was having trouble setting off the deto sensor. Have they gotten past that yet?
