09-10 style Cat M Series running boards... Better Boards? F U Boards? Monster Boards? WRP Boards? Looking for strength, snow removal, no snow sticking, price... lets see what ya'll got to say!

Better Boards.

I've got the black/powdercoated Better Boards on my 09 M8. I've been very happy with them. No paint flaking or any bending. One swipe of the foot and the snows gone. I had a couple questions regarding the install, left a msg and got a call back within an hour. Good product, good service:face-icon-small-win

no sno

I have the Fast Lane INC. NO SNO running boards and I love them no snow sticks to them and no snow sits on them. I think they are the best mod I have ever done! 2010 m8

What company makes the plastic ones I have heard about? Some said they were great, some said they cracked often.

No sno

Another Vote for the No sno. Mine show no signs of wear period. No cracks. I think my boots will last way longer just because i dont have to keep kicking the snow the way i used to. I did not use the screws supplied with the kit. I ran rivets up from the bottom and they serve as traction also. Worked very well.

x 5 on the no sno boards just take the time to cut out each opening instead of one large one to leave as much Alum. as possible (and radius all corners). makes them stronger than stock.

Wow, I thought I heard that they were great because the snow didn't stick, but they were weak and cracked often. If they are the way to go, is there a place that sells them any cheaper than any other place?

Pricing is similar on them everywhere. The only deal I have seen on them is at the snow shows/haydays. I got them right from fastlane inc.

Where did you hear that? I've run them on past sleds, and seen them on a bunch of others, and have never, in person, or online heard of them cracking?
Even if they did, they'd be an easy replacement & I'm positive that fastlane would take care of you.

Fastlane are the best for avoiding snow, by a LONG shot, you don't even have to kick it off, it just doesn't stick at all. For plain strength the Cutlers are the strongest I've seen, but the snow sticks to them. I would think the cutlers powdercoated would be pretty sweet.

The original snow eliminators felt weak on the few sleds that I rode, and the better boards seem to be in between them & the cutlers.

Not sure what set I have – already on the sled when I bought it. But snow really seems to stick – does powder coating make a differences from bare alum?

Sorry not to hijack your thread –

From other threads, no sno’s seem to be pretty popular. If I didn’t already have a set, I’d look into those.

Don't know what Fastlane uses for plastic, I would think it would be UHMW which is very tough. I made my own and the last thing I would worry about was them breaking or cracking.

I have the cutlers and they are very strong. But I have more snow on my running boards then the snow I'm riding on sometimes. My boots look like i took a cheese grater to the bottoms from kicking off the snow. Plastic seems the way to go but I would also like the added strength of the alluminum ones that fasten to the running boards and the sides of the tunnel.
