-I'm replacing a crank on my wife's sled that has 1000 easy miles on it. Clutch puller broke inside crank and could't drill it out.
Anyway, piston rings look good and engine compression was like new before I pulled the engine.
Here are some options I am considering:
a. Don't replace rings or pistons and just install the replacement crank and new seals.
b. Put new OEM rings on the used pistons and do a very light hone on the cylinders.
c. Put aftermarket rings and pistons on the engine.
If I go with option C, should I use SPI or Wiesco? I want this sled to last for a while.
