which one

Hey guys i've been a cat man since i was 13 and now i am having many douts. im thinkin of getting a new apex or nytro w/turbo i have rode a buddies apex turbo with timber sled suspension and camo extreme 2.5. i hate to admit it but u have to love the potential and dragin the rear bumper. i need ur guys opinion on the two though. i have not rode a turbo nytro yet all input would be great and if u know a sucker lookin for a good m8 let me know

The apexs ride the same as the M series cats so you will find them easier to handle.
Nytros ride the same as the Revs and some guys(Cat riders) find it very hard to adjust to. It is different but I personally would ride nothing else but the Nytro.
A stage 1 apex and nytro will feel like they have the same power because of the weight difference. If you can, ride or rent a Nytro for the day to see if you like it. And I say a day because it takes at least that long to get used to it coming off a Cat.

The turboed machines either the Apex or Nytro are amazing but you should warn all your buddies about them. My buddy rode my Nytro this week and now he is pi$$ed off because his machine is no fun and he has to go buy one. Enjoy what ever you decide to go buy.

Ride a non-boosted Nytro and would never ride another 2 stroke again... Have always rode Yammies, first 4 stroke though.... Love it, plan on losing some weight real soon...

FIRST of all it is impossable to be a cat man at 13(maybe a cat BOY??) I have always been a cat person starting with my first new sled a 1974 el-tigre 440 at 18 yrs old..now that that is out of the way....go the nytro. I* have riden the apex and vecter both turboed and prefer the vecter, just handles so much nicer. I do agree with the earlier post it does take time to get used to the nytro with 860 kms on mine I will never ride anything different. I am addicted to the turbo power(18lbs boost....280hp???) and feel totally at home. I climb things I never would even look at with my viper(185hp Big Bore Bender 835) The pull is unreal and you never even think about something going wrong with the sled. Now it is about you the rider,.....which when you get this old (53) kinda sucks cause you know the sled can easily do it Once you pull the trigger on this sled you will never go back.........former cat man

M8er,
I just went through the same decision on the Apex vs Nytro coming off of a King Cat. The Nytro looks really cool and the lighter weight tempted me however you will likely want to changeout the track to a 162 as the 153 can fold up under turbo power. I figured since they were close in price I went with the Apex as it already had the 162 plus several more years of experience in terms of turbo set up, gearing, etc. The $ I save on not having to do anything to the track or tunnel will go into some lighter weight parts over time. I'm a bigger guy so a heavier sled was not a big deal but reliability and not having to deal with the headaches of dialing in a new sled tipped the scale to the Apex.
The Nytro looks and rides great as well so it really comes down to your preference. Have fun with whatever you choose!
