Which model Summit?

I just picked up an 02 Summit 800, but I don't which one. How do I know if it is a Summit x, Summit R, Summit High Mark, etc? The hood was damaged, so the stock stickers are no longer on the hood.

What size is the track 144 = summit or summit X, 151 = hmk or hmk X, I think the R was Europe. Did you get it in Europe? I think X models had better front shocks with threaded spring pretensioners vs the 4 possition step spring tensioner. That should clear it up.

What size track? What color is the tub/hood? do the bars have hooks? does the seat have an "X" on it? rack?

You can call the vin into a dealer and they can look it up or pm me. I have a 2003 shop manual that 'might' have the breakdown for 02's as well.

I have a 01' thats a Summit X Highmark 144, I think you could still get the 144 in the highmark in 02'. X had rebuildable hpg shocks and had the X seat cover. Not sure what was all included in highmark package, I think it was the holeshot skidplate and the the bellypan color matched the hood color.

high mark is a 151 highmark xtreme is a 159 and ull no if its a x if the shocks have the yellow springs and silver body with hpg decal usually.

Dude there wasn't a 159 option in 02, think before ye speak.

I had a 00 700 151, it still had factory stickers on the side that said Summit Highmark Extreme, things change and the way they name them change from year to year.

You have to go by the s/n. Things get changed on them over the years. Crash damage, mods, good deals on parts. Just because it has this seat or shocks,or track, doesn't make it an X or Highmark. Even the tunnel could have been changed.
