which is which?

I'm about to wire up a new tail light, there are three wires, red, yellow and brown. I'm assuming brown is ground, so which is brake and which it the running tail light?

Just fire it up and see what has juice and what has juice when the brake is on.

on cats yellow is power and brown is ground. So i would guess red is brake.
