Which Chassi handles best AC, Polaris, Ski-doo?

I am trying to decied wether to get an Arctic cat M series, polaris dragon or a ski-doo rev. I was wondering what are the different handling characteristics beween the sleds. Which is the most stable, which turns better, which sidehills the best, which is best in the bumps ect. I am not concered with which is the fastest, just how they handl.

Please give me your oppinion.

M series is the best boondocker and all around powder sled, it sidehills like a dream, it will hang with both on the steep, and do better in the trees. It leans over the easiest off the three. The trail ride isnt very good though. next best boondocker is the Dragon which also leans over easily and sidehills good, i havent done much climbing on the RMK so i cant comment what i though about that. I would put the XP as the hardest to sidehill and boondock, but like the climbing ability with the light weight and 16 inch wide track. For turning radius amsnow did a test and i believe it went ski doo, polaris, arctic cat. The ski doo is definetly most stable imo. What i have said above is just IMO im not trying to start a pizzin match.

popcorn pleazzzz.

1 cat m
2 dragon
3 xp

IMO this is the order but i do a lot of trees and turns and have spent the most time on the cat and the least time on the xp. to me the cat and the poo handle very close to each other and the xp you feel to far forward.

Haven't you heard? The XP is the best at everything!:p

The XP sidehills like a dream, steers with ease and is balanced perfectly! Ya can't get no better then them XP's eh!

Don't believe the hype!

The M8 has proved to be the best handling deep powder all mountain sled to date!

Just wait and see what the 2010s do!

.

hahaha

Did you plan too hear any other make to be the best in the Cat section???

I have to say Cat also though, but because of the 1M in ALL categories of riding, except jumping.

XPs with some balls and doing real chassis tweaks and switching the track and switcheing out thopse god awful tall bar risers, and running board braces and clutching, then youve got yourself a great sled! oh ya, imo:rolleyes:

IQ raw feels like an M with loose steering and less power.

M's seem to do fine..

Got it you posted these in all the forums

also as you can see in each different brand page that brand will be favored cause in the ski doo page people who ride a skidoo are goin to be there more than ac or pol. and that goes the same as the polaris and a.c. pages

about the only way to realy know for you is to ride all 3 the same day to see what one you like the best. Also each one probly will handle better in a different area than the other sleds. Thats just how they are made.

The M sleds are the best boondockers. Once you learn the sled, it just kind of goes where you want it too. I have rode both my M7 and my dads REV, the REV is much smoother down the trails and alot easier for jumping. The XP seemed like a mix of the M and the REV, but I was only on it for a short period of time. The 800R in the XP was for sure the most powerful engine. As for the Dragon, I can't comment as I have never ridden one.

The sleds are different....

The different brands respond differently depending on the rider...
Rider Weight
Rider height
Type of snow
What kind of riding (trails, boondocking, jumping, climbing)
What if any mods are done

How fit and active are you? Are you an aggressive Rider?
Are you an agressive ACTIVE rider that jumps easily, all day, from running board to running board?
How much time do you spend sitting/standing?

Some people swear by thier Edge/ZX/1M/Mtn Max.... that is what they like to ride and are used to. Is it the cutting edge.. no, but if they enjoy it ... more power to you.

Also, unless you have spend multiple FULL DAYS on a sled, then you really havent "tried" it out... and that includes an hour or two here and there on your wifes or buddys sled?

When you ask someone about what they prefer... ask the above questions. Compare those answers to what you ride/weigh etc.

For example... I'm at 165-170 with all my gear on. I consider myself to be an intermediate active rider. I would NOT base my decision on what to buy on info from a 260 lb rider (w gear) that was 6'3" tall and likes to climb chutes 80% of the time... that is just not my profile as a rider.

Also keep in mind durability issues... Poo has had problems with the reliability of the 800, XP's dont take a frontal hit that well, Cat tunnels arent the strongest out there, yami's weigh more.

The weight of the sled is less issue for a Big guy, more of an issue for a smaller rider.

IMO... the top offerings from all the companies are incredible machines.

imo the xp is the funnest to ride out of the 3.after riding for 8 hours, its the only sled that i want to ride all night too.
