Which boots?

Looking at a new pair of boots this winter and Im not sure what to get. Had the motorfist boots last winter and them seemed really small. Snow would get between my bibs and the boots and by the end of the day, my feet would be soaked. Looking at either HMK or FXR.

Thanks.

i had a pair of motorfist as well and the thing is to wear a size bigger than normal so the tounge can sit further behind the laces and make a better seal.

i just got the new hmk pro boa focus after i wore out a set i loved over the last 3 winters. i feel its the best thats why ive got them twice.

I like feeling where my feet are on the board. The stiff thick sole boots don't allow that for me. I use Schnee`s boots. They are warm, tall and can be used elsewhere. The air bobs seem to hold up quite well and they rebuild them for little cost.

I picked up a pair of HMK Voyager BOA's back in the summer ($115 brand new). Size 17 so I'm curious to see how these dainty little things feel on my upgraded boards this winter. I got about 5 years out of my Cabela's insulated leather hunting boots but the running boards had chewed all the goodie off the bottoms.

I love my klim adrenaline boots! They are pretty light so easy walking and i can feel the boards better. I have never had snow get in my boots, I use the gators on my pants and there is a little strap on my klim togwotee bibs that i can hook to my boot laces so i know they wont move up. I usually wear light winter socks and my feet never get cold and they did before with other boots.

My choice !

Not the best boot but a decent boot for the money is the castle boots , two choices quick straps or laces . i should have got laces but these straps are simple :face-icon-small-coo

I really like the look of those HMK boots. I had a pair of Arctiva boots a few years ago, they were durable but it seemed like they were too clumsy and I couldnt really tell where my feet were to on the boards. Are the HMK boots like this?

HMK Pro Boa's for the past 6 years, still going strong. The key for me to keep my feet dry is to wear light weight wicking socks and make sure the built in gators on my Klim bibs are worn correctly over the boots and secured with the snap flap.

I would like to add that I went with the hmk due to the very rigid feel. I have weak ankles and have broke them more than I'd like to remember. Owning and looking at other brands it seems when they break in they loose some of that much needed rigidity.

I went with the Motorfist boots this year after riding with Burton snowboard boots for the last 5 years. I have been putting them on every chance I get to try and get used to them. I'm not sure yet though, I'm a really aggresive rider and I'm kind of concerned that they are not going to be stiff enough for me. They just feel like a work boot. Should I be concerned?

Don't mean to hi-jack this thread, but i'm also looking at new boots. Last couple seasons i've worn K2 Snoboard boots-weak ankles also, but i put new boards on for this season, and they have real aggressive footing, so i'd like to know which brand have the toughest soles-i don't think boarding boots will cut it.
