HWY 4 - SnoPark 1/2 mile past Bear Valley Ski Resort turn-off. NF says you need 1 foot. Caltrans closed the gate on Saturday DUE TO SNOW. 7,000 foot starting elevation.

I rode Sun (did 9 miles) and will be going out in the morning again up I-80

They're riding the roads on Mt. Shasta. Haven't gotten a report from yesterday but Sunday they were riding in about 8" of snow. Just enough to tease us.

Was up at Bear Valley this weekend..The gate is closed just past Alpine Lake..I would say this would be a safe ride..covered Hiway..They have 12" plus on the ground above 7500 feet.

Glad to see somebody got to ride! I was at Bear river res. Sat. and Sunday. Nothing but rain.
