Where's all the Polaris FST guy's?

So am I the only one that bit the bullet and modded out an FST into a mountain sled?
The only problems I'm running into is anytime you try to do motor work of any type it throws a code on the computer and back to the dealer it goes.
It does however put out an astonishing 36#'s of boost bone stock!!! Keep an eye on the rubber boost hoses, under full boost they swell up like a balloon!
Bought a new muffler for it from the local auto shop, yep, fits perfect, runs fantastic, lost over 20#'s, all stainless and it cost $39.00 MBRP wanted $249 Any one else out there workin on them???

Haven't seen any of these very far from the trail, would like to see some one get it dialed & ready to come out an play.
Got a friend thats had been kicking around the idea of 1 of those, but the #weight# & limited performance goodies kept him away.
Plus he's not to creative on his own, good find on the exhaust though.

hey you should market the auto muffler, just rename it and throw it in a new box turbo guys love to spend money. was checking out a can the other day that exits out the tunnel like the turbo guys use. made a $200 can almost double in price, can't see an extra 2 feet of tube almost doubling the price??? but i guess i'm one of the few working class snowmobilers

that's the problem with sleds now. everything is controled via electronics and a computer.

just at work the other day a 04ish summit x came in. had roughly 50 errors on it, 32 or so were active - including temperature sensor too high. engine rpm too high. battery circuit shorted.

the stupid part is that the tiniest things can throw these errors up on the dash. having your thumbwarmers on with maybe an aftermarket led brake light could trigger the temp sensor.

throwing a turbo on will no doubt cause some errors.

I'll post some pics this Friday. I'm still working on it though, it came with no decals so I'm adding the decals off of a Dragon. Looks good so far but I'm missing the side panel decals.
The sled is an 2009 demo the magazines used, it has 412 miles on it and I picked her up for $5grand. Figured it was cheap enough to play with some ideas on it.

So far I've added a 155"X2.25" Maverick track
SLP rail extesions
Cold air induction
Muffler
Poweder coated the rails RED
Painted the tunnel Black
Powder coated the Fish bones red
Painted the windshield black
Added the Air 2.0 shocks
2.5" bar riser

And yes, it's still freaking heavy but it hauls serious a$$! Through the hay field it'll blow my brothers 700 Dragon away from the drop of the hat until we run out of room it just keeps pullin and pullin! I hear these will run near 100mph, it'll hit 90 on dirt in the field so well see when the snow flys???

And yes, I know, it's heavy, I'm working on that. =/

I rode with a dude 2 yrs ago that had a fully modded FST and after seeing it go i decided that polaris should change the name from FST to POS i was very dissapointed i was riding my mod M-7 and was walking all over him!

I rode with a guy that had strecthed one out last season. It went really well. He let me ride it and although it didn't ride like my dragon and was heavy it had good great power.Wheelied way to much. He had it running more boost then stock and had a can. If they would get the weight down I would be interested in getting one.

well heres my best buds fst mod. a few details. it was wicked racings owners personnel sled. weights in at #480 dry, 260hp at the track, nos with a stutter box [to beat pretty much anything in hill drags] has a dragon 155 2.4" track. and i almost forgot, a 1 off custom built carbon fiber tunnel, the turbo is a car turbo and the front end is all custom fabbed titanium. all bolts are also titanium.

How are these guys getting past the computer on these FST's? Your best bud's machine is wicked sweet but everytime I try to do anything on mine to boost power it throws a code to the computer and it won't allow the sled to run until I take it to the dealer and get the code cleared.

Any help would be greatly appreciated......
