Where to Stay / Ride - Walden

Looking for recommendations on places to stay (and why) in/near Walden, CO.

Also places to ride / park.


We've ridden the Snowies a bunch, Rabbit Ears once and Encampment a few times... looking to base a trip out of Walden area and would appreciate a few recommendations on accomodations and riding areas.

Yep, North Park Inn & Suites. Even has a heated garage you can use for repairs if needed. He can point you in the right direction, too (Buffalo, RE, Gould, Hog Park ...)

I agree with the other guys. Dave is heck of nice guy. And he knows the area pretty well. I rode with him a couple of times. Definetly recomend "North Park Inn"
If your into DEEP POWDER riding. Buff/Rabbit Ears is the place to go.

definitely hit the Ears...some alternatives:

1) depending how long you have, you could hit the Gould area....including American lakes and Jack Park. American Lakes has some fun climbs.
2) Steamboat lake (SLO) is good too, about 45 minutes past the ears.
3) Grand lake area isn't too far from Walden.

April! Bring the dirt bikes, you can play in the sand dunes!
