Where to stay in Jackson?

My wife and I are planning on going to Jackson for our birthdays in June. We would like to find a place thats unique and not a chain hotel. It could be in town or at teton village. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Jon.

The Wyoming Inn is a nice Hotel with a pretty good price. The Wort is a very nice hotel...pricey. Several good ones up in the Village.

There are many. Check out SnowKing, Teton Village, the Wart, or the Antler Inn, Tons more.... For dinning i would try the Cowboy Steak House, Bubbas BBQ, or Marry Pigglets. These are a few of my favorites and are the nicer places around town

X2 on the rustic inn. Very nice and probably the spot if your looking for a laid back/romantic place to take your wife....located on the north side of town and just a stones throw away from the start of the elk feeding grounds (although they are pretty much gone since the snows melting off....)

Thanks guys for the responses. Going to check into the rustic. We are going to do the white water rafting, shopping (the wife), horseback riding, maybe the alpine slide (havent done that there since i was a kid). Going to come into town via the beartooth pass and then stay in cooke for the night and then go through the park on our way to Jackson. Might even think of taking her out on the lake. I know she will like Jackson. Great town!

Alpine House, we were there in May '09 for 2 nights during our honeymoon trip; absolutely wonderful, plus a short walk to "downtown"! Amazing little town, I'd love to live there, wonderful people, even got an oil change in the rental SUV.

Cowboy Bar is great, plus another restaurant which is a lower level establishment (can't remember the name) was wonderful, excellent Elk Chili and Buffalo Ribs.
