We have never been to Colorado snowmobiling before. We were thinking about making a run out to Rabbit Ears. Where is the best place to stay, is there anywhere that you can stay and ride right from the lodge. Any help appreciated. Thanks

If you are looking to ride from the cabin/lodge, you will have to either look at Grand Mesa or Grand Lake.... You will have a 30 min drive to RE's from either direction. For RE's, you can either stay in Steamboat Springs or Kremmling. Steamboat will have more of a night life, but Kremmling will be cheaper.
Hey, we have a Night Life here! Ya go down to the bar and watch the same five drunks night after night. Nah, just kidding! The only night life we have here is the Internet and PPV!
When we went out to RE after new years we stayed at the Cliff Side Inn in Kremlin. We have stayed at Kremlin before and thought that this was some of the best accomidations we had found. Service was excellent and the rooms were great and very clean, they worked with us on our room reservations when we had to check out early to head home. There is a place a bit closer closer to down town, but not sure what it is called. Either way most of the eating establishment you will still want to drive the 3 or 4 blocks...thats my .02

Try steamboat lake outfitters, that's a good area up there also.
SLO is OK if you want to ride North Routt but too far for the Ears and Buff.
Depends on what you want to do after sledding and your budget. Steamboat has more to offer but it comes at a price. Kremmling is almost as close and way cheaper. Or try the North Park Inn.
