Where to stay and ride in northern colorad

I have been to Colorado and ridden red and white, Buffalo pass and Flat tops and just looking to check out some other areas. Thinking further north. Where is a good place to stay and not have to trailer to ride. We have been going out west for 20 years and like all kinds of terrain. Thinking about getting some reservations made for Jan. any input would be great. Thanks

you've gotta look into grand lake! some of the best groomed trails and off trail riding in the state. and you can drive from the trail system to town and right down all of main street. great lodging and dining as well! if your going to be around for awhile and if you dont mind trailering a little bit, there are three or four other great places to ride within an hour of grand lake.

Steamboat lake area gets a lot of snow. Steamboat Lake outfitters or Dutch Creek Guest Ranch can set you up with lodging. We rode a couple times last year and had 2 ft of fresh powder everywhere we went.
