Where to stay and rent near Buff Pass?

Looking to come ride Buff Pass. Some of my friends would have to rent sleds. Is there anywhere to rent near there, and where is a good place to stay?

here's the best way....

mobile man cave or my wife's second home, she can put it any place she wants!

Steamboat if ya have cash to burn, Kremmling if ya don't and don't care about rednecks and a lack of a nitelife. You can rent M8s and Summit 800 XPs from the place in Granby, they share the building with Powerworld but not ethics. They also deliver. There is a place up by Steamboat lake that rents but those are Polaris 600s and they deliver also, Steamboat Powersports should know their name. Not a lot of mountain sled rental places up here that rent good sleds but a gamut of places that rent trail 550fans.

Walden

If you want to be close to Buff. and stay at a place that loves snowmobilers and has a heated garage to work on your sleds if needed stay here

and check out Dave's thread on here ( he is the owner)

He has some nice pic's of him riding at Buff pass and pic's of his hotel also, you would have to rent sled's 25mins away but to stay there is alot nicer and is the closest to Buff Pass. Were going to down to stay at the end of Jan. if ya can talk to Dave himself, he has alot of places to ride around there. I would rather give my money to people like him!:D

I think you can rent sleds at wycolo. about 25 min north. and stay with dave at North park inn. Dave is heck of nice guy. plenty of parking for sleds.

3'rd for Dave's place and close to Buff Pass. Walden is a little town, but has everything ya need. Steamboat for more nightlife and all that. Might also look at Steamboat Lake Outfitters north of Steamboat. Nice reasonably priced cabins, renatal sleds right there and ride from room. Sledding is about on par with RE/Buff but fewer people.

thanks! Sounds like staying with Dave at North Park Inn is the way to go. I ride Cooke City alot and I'm looking to check out somewhere new. If any of you ever make it up to Cooke City Mt, check out Bill and Kay at the Antlers Lodge! They are avid snowmobilers and great people with a great place to stay also. I will be making reservations with Dave soon. Thanks for all the input:)
