Where to ride??

hey there, Im from sothern minnesota and a couple of buddies and myself have a trip planned out to rabbit ears co. mid of january but were looking for somewhere closer to maybe go first over a 4 day weekend or something haha. anyone got any good suggestions??

Black Hills of South Dakota is roughly half the distance. If you're hill climbers and cornice jumpers you'll be disappointed but plentyof boondocking opportunities. Might want to check the trail reports cause snow conditions can be more iffy than Snowies or Rabbit Ears. If you're in southeast Minn. you can take off after work/school, arrive around midnight and get 3.5 days of riding in on a four day weekend.

Where to ride?? Reply to Thread

From the pictures that I just saw in the Washington section posted by "Coyote Girl" you may want to think about Revelstoke,Wow. Roadtrip:D

Snowies- 13 hours from Owatonna, MN to Greenrock parking lot. The drive would be nice if it were not for the 7 hours of NE!!! Sure have had some fun nights in Omaha on the way back though!

Consider Island Park. It's close to West Yellowstone. March is the best time of year to ride there.

Just my .02, but I'd go to Cooke. For me it was probably the coolest place I've ever been. If you can go the distance, areas around Whistler, BC are amazing too. In the end I don't think there are too many bad places, no matter what state or province you visit. Good luck.

Secluded Snowmobile area with ride in/out access in NW Colroado-Flat Tops

Just an hour from Steamboat Springs but secluded and uncrowded (during the week you may not even see one other snowmobiler out there) but will find loads of powder stashes and over 178 miles of trails included over 40 miles of the nat'l scenic byway that already have over 2 feet of snow.

Our cabin is nestled on over 70 acres and is surrounded on three sides by the Routt Nat'l Forest. We have a snowcat that through advance arrangements can be made available to cart gear in and out. Parking is 2.5 miles down the nat'l scenic byway and an easy ride into the cabin. From the cabin you have easy access to thousands of acres of terrain.

Visit our website for info www.wildskies.com and photos but space is limited so call for more details and availability: 970.926.0216
