Where to ride?

Hey guys,

A couple of friends of mine and I are heading to Colorado around the first of February. We all have mountain sleds (non turbos) and tentatively plan to start out on Grand Lake for three to four days and then ride Rabbitt Ears for another two. In total, we'll be there six days. Does anyone think there are better places to ride? Please send any ideas/tips my way.

Thanks!

I hear Vail pass is badass!!

A lot of where folks will be willing to refer you to depends more on you than anything else.

What kind of riders are you guys? What kind of avy knowledge do you have? Do you have avy gear?
What are you looking for?

We like hills, jumps and carving untouched fresh pow, as far as Avy knowledge 0-little. Where ever we go we want to get a guide or hook up with some locals a least for the first day or so at each place. We also do plan on renting avy beacons. As far as what kind of riders we are, all of use have been riding for 10+years but the last 3 or so we have been coming out west,(tog) twice and rode with Carter and Beaver Creek in UT.
