Where to ride??????

Hey just wondering where to ride in Colorado????

I'm making a couple trips this coming winter '09-'10 to visit a friend in Aspen and want to bring my sled. I've spent the last week hiking around Aspen and wondering with all the National Forests where I could ride???

There is some good riding around these areas. I have not been to the Basalt/Aspen area riding, but my hubby has and many friends do. We ride out of Carbondale on Marion/4 mile area, and the Grand Mesa which is about 2.5 hours away closer to Grand Junction.

Theres alot of wilderness around aspen.

Thanks for the replies people. The area looks incredible, pretty much all of Colorado is incredible. I had looked at some of the tours but they are not quite what I was looking for. I only want to ride a trail until I can get off into some powder and play......not be on the trail all day.

If somebody wanted to play tour guide for a canuck.....I would really appreciate it.

while we were hiking we got into some big bowls.......even tho it was june I was picturing the bowls filled with pow pow and picking lines up thru the rocks.

I noticed a lot of the areas are National Forests and wasn't sure which ones I could ride in and which ones I couldn't.
