Where to ride near,Buena

I think that is how you spell Buena Vista? Any way, my dad and I would like to find somewhere on the south side maybee near buena vista to ride this weekend. Any thoughts?

If conditions are good, Cottonwood Pass is a fun ride. Casual enough for beginners if you stay on the trail and enough technical and steep stuff to keep others entertained. We haven't ridden cottonwood this season so I don't know how the snow is. You can call Timberline Motor Sports and ask Rodney how conditions are...he will know if they got any snow out of this storm. You can also ride from St. Elmo. Check out Coloradodirectory.com. They have some snowmobile trail maps listed.

maybe with the new snow Cottonwood is good but if your more into technical riding head to saint Elmo's and ride Tincup and Hancock out of there. From Saint Elmos there is a great loop. If you started in Saint Elmo and headed over Tincup Pass down into the town of tincup. From there head over Napoleon take that trail down to the Alpin Tunnel Road follow that till you hit the sign that takes you over Hancock. Drop down Hancock Pass to the town of Hancock. That trail will take you back to St. Elmo. It is about a 60 mile ride with great Everything.

The snow is ok - hero snow.

Both hancock/st elmo and cottonwood got ridden hard over the presidents day weekend and we got about 6" to 12" since then. Trails are in good shape..

Good snow on Sunday, but that was Sunday and with the mild temps its probably packed out around the bowl. If you know where the stashes are you will find powder.
