Where to ride in Pagosa Springs?

My dad moved out to Co in Pagosa Springs and I was thinking about planing a trip out to do some sleding. Where is the best place to go around there off trail MT rideing? It would be eary season mid dec.

The closest would be around Pagosa springs, if there is enough snow, the best bet would be wolf creek pass. Do a search for wolf creek pass and you will find an area that gets the most snow in Colorado, it is only a 20 or 30 minute drive out of Pagosa Springs. I will check it out thanks. When would be the best time to go and how often are the passes closed I would be headed down I80 or I think I70.

Wolf Creek pass seems to get closed after any major snowfall, not for very long though. The best times to go would be Jan-March.
