Where to ride in McCall?

The goose lake just north of of brudage is a great area. You can spends days in that are alone. Be careful and watch the avy report.

Goose Lake, Twin Lakes and Hazard are all areas you can access from Bear Creek Lodge. You can trailer to the Francis Wallace Parking lot and hit some others areas to see more terrain. If you have the time you can trailer down to Donnelly and hit the upper West Mt trails along with the Council area. Get a map from the lodge, Hinsons RK Motorworks.

Have fun.

when

When are you going to be here? I can show you where to ride on the maps. Ask Mike at BCL. He knows the area too.

Go to the web site

Go to the web site http://www.snowmobilemccall.net and click on the maps and scroll down to the first one listed below. It is the one marked up for the area in North Valley County. Bear Creek Lodge is across the hiway from West Face parking lot (P). It is an older map and not up to date but it is marked up as to where to ride. As you can see you can go north up to Goose Cr. Falls Trail head lot (on this map, or Upper Elevation on other maps) and then out towards Goose Lake, Hazards Lakes, and or go by Brundage Reservoir and to Sater Meadows, Wongs Bowl, Fisher Cr. Saddle and some fantastic riding. Or go around the mountain, Q to the second R, S, T and up over the top to V at Brundage Reservoir.

it would be allot easier if I can show you when you arrive. Have Mike at Bear Creek call me and we can sit down and go over the great sledding here.

The same web site above has the daily grooming report and weather report.

Hi

Hi Scott, you need to clear some of the messages in your private messages box in order to receive any more, please. Spud

Do your snow dance! Right from the lodge you can hit anything. If you don't mind some trail riding the entire world is open to you up there. They do a great job on the trails so normally it's tolerable to even have to do quite a few miles getting to the goods.

For sure take a day and have Mel show you around. You won't be sorry and the insider info is invaluable. You get anywhere 1/4 of a mile of the beaten path in McCall and it's awesome. There can be a jillion trailers in every lot and you still won't see anybody if you just venture out a bit.

Council Mtn needs new snow and some adhesion time/conditions. Epic world class terrain but as of today it is just terrible for anything other then blasting up the short bowl climbs which you can do on a 440 fanner. Most of the new stuff has come down so it's nice and ICY as well! Yikes

Alot can change in the time from now to your trip. It's a long long ways but try to do red ridge to council mtn if they get new snow. Cool stuff.
