where to put it?...

i started a thread awhile back didnt get too much...i tried to mount my muffpot on my 2010 m8 copletely stock. doesnt seem to fit good anywhere. i dont want it rubbing on the air duct on the hood. need some input pics would be great. again it stock so i really dont want to see how u mounted it it by your bad@$$ turbo or where u put it with ur timbersled intake. my stock can is huge and not sure what to do with it yet so no room there

I mounted mine to the pipe right before the bend to go into the can when I had the stock pipe on my 07. It faced foward. It wasnt on top of the pipe, it was angled down twords the front of the sled. It fit really well there and was easy to get to.

well now that I think about it I didnt have all of my intake stuff on my hood so Im sure that freed up more room for me to place it there. The other place i have heard is mounting it down by the y pipe.

too close to the ypipe will it burn your food? this is my first muffpot so i have no exp.

It will just cook your food real fast. I did try the y-pipe w/ my wifes 08 M-8 but the cooker would not stay tight. I ended up doing a BDX air box and now w/o all the crappy ducting under the hood there is a bunch of room now to install on the pipe.:)

for speed cooking...

I've had mine mounted on top of the can so it sits totally level,,,, until I roll the sled that is. Longer to heat than the y-pipe where I've had it before but this way I dont have to worry about some of the leaky food I stick in there getting out as much. I still stick the food in a turkey oven bag but it's enevitable to leak out.

Picture please! I was thinking of putting it in the same place but couldn't figure out how to mount it.

how long does it take to cook stuff when u put it on the ypipe can u still cook stuff like hot pockets or does it burn them

I don't put my food in till later. I carry it seperate till I'm ready to eat. Then I ride for a bit to warm up the food as the Y pipe heats it up real quik. :beer;
