i have an 07 rev and put the muff pot on as close to the y pipe as i could get and the thing will barely defrost a hot pocket after an hour of riding. the heat shield on the pipe is very hot but the pot barely gets warm. im open to suggestions if anyone knows how to make it work better.

now i do not want to be a kill joy but, my muff pot seems to like it better at home and will defrost a weiner in a matter of minutes, trying to make it work better try a rock on the nun

04REV also, ceramic coated stock pipe, Hot Dogger in front of the can on the pipe, I defrost before the ride and it still takes an hour to cook the hot pocket. My shovel keeps some heat in. Yes I carry a second shovel in my BP.

I don't think it will get hot enough to cook anything "well done".

I have heard that cutting a hole in the clam shell and attaching the pot over the hole works best. Check with BeerGut, he has an 05 and just cooked soup with his:D

Hey I took an extream angle to cook my food and I have to say it worked great! install you muff pot on your light weight can easy to get to and cooks real well! I love how easy it is to get to, the only problem you need to wrap your food in tin foil and no liquids, its vertical! I put some high temp black calk from napa and four self drilling self taping screws to hold it on no more coming loose!

Your stock pipe insulation is in four pieces, I removed the two that were closest to the y-pipe and installed my muff pot there on both my 04 rev and my 08 XP.... works real good.

To quote DR. EVIL... "Every creatcher deserves a warm meal".

I mounted mine on the first turn of the can. Plenty hot and super EZ to get to. Tends to stay put better than down near the engine too.
