where to mount muffpot

Al at the sled shed in Revy is making a sweet "thing" can with a spot built in for the muff pot to slide right into the can. It's really a slick deal and works great. The muff pot actually slids into a slot in the can and locks in.

Where do I mount the muffpot on my xm? I have an hps can on it so I was thinkin of strappin it to the side of muffler.

Mine fits right on top of the down pipe of my can. Right beside but not touching the coolant resevoir. Will brown my grilled cheese sandwiches or smokies nicely in about 15 minutes. I made a block out of tinfoil to help conduct heat between the pipe and the base of the muffpott.

So to clarify: Is there any decent locations for a muffpot on a STOCK exhaust system?

The only thing I've seen for the stock can is a fellow that welded the base of the muffpot to the stock exhaust on the side by your right knee. I think he cut away part of the heat shield.

mines a '12 so it maybe be different a bit...but i pull the hood plastic off mine and put it on the pipe right after the Y pipe...thats NOT the spot for it :face-icon-small-dis..doesnt cook anything! hoping i get a good answer from this post as well....HPS can also...in that area is my next attempt...

On the 12's and older if you are going to put it directly on the pipe you have to cut away the aluminum heat shield. On my XP I mounted my muffpot on the top pipe of my MBRP can as well. On the somewhat flat section between the pipe and the can.
