where to mount ice scratchers?

Just recieved a set of SummitSeekers Over the top ice scratchers. I'm wondering where the best place to mount them is? I want to keep the front wheels. I have a 2005 900 RMK with 166" track. Pics if possible please. Or should I get rid of the front wheels and use those holes?

Depends on where you ride. If mostly POW in the mountains I would get rid of the front wheels. That is what I have done and it worked great. Amazing how much cooler the sled runs down the trail with those scratchers down.

Keep the wheels if you want, I mounted mine right behind the wheels. Here's a picture through my boards when I was installing Better Boards.

X2 keep the wheels will save the fax. Mine are mounted just the same.

i would also keep a front wheel..i do as well..

here is a pic of my 900 with the scrathers mounted on the same shaft as the wheel..i just used a spacer to fit inside the wheel and some washers for spacing to keep the wheel from rubbing..

(a before and after ;))

Have you looked at ice scvratchers for the skis?

Ice scratchers are made to dangle under the foot well area.

I put mine in the same spot as those above, my hyfax are pretty much shot right where that rail stiffener is.... might have to add a set of wheels there.

I just pulled off the front wheels.... 2300 miles.. Quite a few of it on the trails and original hyfax's.
Just be liberal on running them.
900 loves them!
