Couple buddies and I are looking to go snowmobiling this year and we want to go somewhere besides the black hills...looking for a good place to sled at and easy to navigate around.and how are the snow conditions?

If your looking for easy navigating and less avy conditions the horns are pretty good especially in February

ya theres some avys just be safe youll be ok maybe do a class and some beacons if your worried bout it but if your gonna make a trip out of it and like deep snow and good climbs snowies are were its at tog pass is nice to but will be a drive for ya but should atleast go there once not to knock the horns some guys love em im just not a fan

Snowies definately get more snow than the horns but if you get a guide or find someone to show you around the horns are way more fun less people and less wind. have lived and rode next to both of them alot. You will have fun either way but becareful get a guide or someone to show you around to find the good snow and stay out of the avy conditions or from getting lost. Be equiped even if you rent beacons.

It's snowing right now, up to a foot by tomorrow night. It has been windy the last few days but that just means there is deeper snow in the valleys.
