i am all ready looking twards next year (since i have a broken leg) i want to go to wyomeing and do some sledding for a weekend and am not sure where would be a good place for a first timer. Is there anywere i should avoid staying ? i would like to find a good place where i can ride trails and do a little playing but not have to worry about avy's or do you allways have to worry about them out there any input on where to go and where to stay would be greatly aprecated.

snowy range highway is the main trail and there are alot of places to play right next to the trails and you are still able to see the trails

big horns, snowies, togwotee. if this is your first trip out there id probably stick with the snowies or bighorns until you get used to that type of terrain

Go to any place that has what you are looking for. Every place in Wyoming except for maybe the Wyoming range would be good for 1st timers. All the places have a trail system and most have guide services so you do have what you need to expierence a great time.

Just pick a spot and you will like it. 1st timers generall like February or very early March because it gives you a bit of fresh with some base. Dec, and Jan are bottomless powder in WY, and mid March on it just depends on the year but you can go just about anywhere you can see.
