Their is a unused wire, pos & Neg. right above your disc brake. It has a two wire plug... I couldn't find a plug to plug into it,, so i just snipped the plug off and connected the wires to a accy outlet,, like in the pic from previous post.
Be ready to hook up the wrong wire to the wire on the outlet,,, i did and popped the fuse in the GPS plug,, no big deal, went to Radio shack, got another,, then i knew ,,,other wire... All set.

Is that a battery power ? I want my GPS to stay ON after i shut the engine off.

There is a big safety in that.

No, it's not battery assoc. I'd get your 5 lb battery out...
That big battery isn't any better tha the little battery in the GPS.

I don't have a battery or elec. start..... My GPs stays on all thetime...

Before i ride, my Gs battery is charged full by being in my truck pluggedd in. I just put it in my map bag, plug it into my assrsory outlet on the sled, turn it on... i then fire up my machine... When machine is running it sends power like in a car,, when i stop for a break i shut my sled off. YES, it does sense that power off and it says on the screen, "unpluged stay ON / OFF .

I touch the screen, ON.

So when im Bull Shytn, and someone says,, where are we,, we walk to my machine.. And at night i like the glow....

If you have a battery then just wire the accessory plug directly to it. make sure you put an inline fuse in the circuit in case if anything ever shorts.

Don't cut that plug off. If you have a 2-pin connector for your battery or heated gear, get an adapter to plug in there.
I picked one up about a year ago and use it on my sled, my bike and the ATV. It is plug and play and gives me power to charge the GPS, iPod and cell phone whenever I need it. A year later and I've had absolutely no problems with it at all.
When I don't need it I stick it in my pocket.
I picked mine up on-line at:
