Where is the clear plastic hose coming from the ECU supposed to be routed?

Makes sense to my Wyoboy1000, that's why I routed mine like that too.

Yet, what the other guys say also makes sense if:

A. It's merely a drain tube

B. Temperature and humidity are not components of barometric pressure readings.

If they are indeed a component of barometric pressure, then wouldn't running the hose forward where it's cooler with potentially less humidity encourage the ECU to richen the fuel mapping based on the colder/denser air reading forward of the engine and exhaust pipe?

See, I knew this would generate conversation. :D Now, we just need an Arctic Cat engineer to chime in and straighten us all out.

that pinch lock splice connector you have there wyoboy is looking for trouble...

No trouble I know what I'm doing.

If you check the air pressure in a warm environment there will be less pressure compared to a cold environment. warm and cold can effect this tube, but not by much. Not saying it reads air temp and Yes there is a intake air temp sensor as well that actually tells the ecu the intake temp.
AC reffers to it as a barometric pressure tube. It is also how the snow pro altimeter works.

and make sure you check it for ice buildup inside the tube, checked mine yesterday and it was iced up inside, and it was sitting the the factory location...

Did we ever settle this issue?

Mine is still routed up into the nose of the sled currently.

Should I move it?

just to generate some more conversation has anyone else blowin into or sucked on that hose? it drastically changes how the sled idles...

I'll chime in on this. With my hose running in the factory spot it seems to cause a bog everytime my exhaust gets plugged or am running in deeper snow. I moved it to the front and it sits in the nosecone now. Cleaned up the bog right away and made a huge improvement on running in deeper snow. BTW I run the bdx intake and it sits up in that area.

Yes, I noticed mine ran cleaner with the hose routed into the nosecone as well.

Interestingly, there doesn't (at least on mine) seem to be snow buildup from snow injestion that far forward on my sled. The hose stays nice, dry and clear.
