Where is everyone?

Hi there, I know I haven't posted for a while, but it seems that everyone's forgotten about us. We have a ton of snow here at Ranger Creek in the Big Horns, and the coffee is hot and free, the chili is on, got plenty of gas at the pump, the bar's open and ready, we got our party hats on and there's no one in sight.

And other than that.... we need some help! We've got a snowmobile stuck on top of Crooked Creek. Doc was staking yesterday when all of a sudden he found himself standing on top of the sled with only his head above the snow. By the way.... he's 6'4'' so don't tell us that we don't have snow! Anyway, he had to leave the sled there and walk back out. He almost lost his life, he still doesn't have feeling in the tips of his fingers, but thank god he was wearing his Klim gear or you would be reading about what a great guy Doc was. Thank you John and Val from Snowshoe Lodge for helping him get back home alive!!

Anyway, we could use some volunteers that like deep snow to help us dig out the sled! And if you don't want to or can't help out, that's find too. Just stop by, we're here!!!

See you soon!
Corine.

hey corine, I meet you at the minneapolis show in nov. sorry I can't afford a trip this year, new const. is really slow here in the twin cities, hope you get the sled back soon. sounds like you have enough snow. It was nice to meet you and take care. todd

why was he riding alone? if me and the boys make it out there we will lend a hand tomarrow afternoon. :)

Because we only had one sled at the time and he wanted to have it done. The weather at that time was great here so we never realized he could get into trouble. it was just gonna be a 'routine trip' - he thought! Hey, you learn something new every day, although this was a tough lesson and he should have known better. It's one of those lessons we always tell others - mountain conditions are unpredictable - but when it comes to us....oh well... Good thing it ended well!
Hope to see you here tomorrow and your help is greatly appreciated! We just spoke with the groomer as well, if we can't get it out before Monday, Doc is gonna drive up with her on Monday afternoon and see if she can get him unstuck.
Thanks for your reply though. Were you up on the mountain today, it's been great with lots more snow and a whole lotta powder!!!
See you soon!
Corine.

hope he remembers were he left it if it keeps snowing like it has been it might get lost until spring. what kind of sled is it? how much is your gas?

Yeah, he remembers. And he was staking, so he put some stakes around it, but when he put them there, you could only see the tops so I keep my fingers crossed!. We hope we'll find it, and then the next thing is to get it out, that's gonna be fun as well..... It's a Skidoo.
Our gas is $4.25 for premium and we've got a lot of it!!! Oh and by the way, I saw on another thread you like beer.... got plenty of that as well!!! :)

Help getting sled

Kip (your fuel guy)and I rode the Duncan Lake area today and know how much snow you guys got, were coming back up tomorrow and if I can talk him in to it we could dig one sled out easily. Dug out at least 20 today Cal

Stuck Sled

Sorry man, Kip ended up having to go to a Swim meet in Powell for one of his grand kids. So looks like we will not be up today. To bad cause this is the kind of thing we love to do. And we know the area up there as well as anybody. Cal

Sorry to hear that, cause yeah, it's an awesome day for some sledding. It's still snowing up here and man, we've got a ton of it, it's so deep!!!! It hasn't been like this for years. Enjoy your day anyway, and thanks for the offer of digging us out, we appreciate it!

Thanks anyway mfatty! Sorry to hear about your bad luck on a day like this! It's still snowing up here, it's getting deeper and deeper. There will be a new picture on our snowcam shortly, the fence is slowly disappearing!

Yes, they do have good snow. Went up yesterday and rode back towards Willet. After getting stuck numerous times, decided that we would stop and have some coffee and lunch. Nice lodge, great food and great people. Thanks

Richard

Thanks! It was fun having you guys here! By the way, we got the sled out today - thanks John from Snowshoe for your help! Snow is still awesome, so if you're planning to come out this weekend, stop by the lodge, we'll be here!
