Where have you connected + (positive) to your extra gauges? (Nytro)

Hi!

I´m about to install my AEM digital boost and wide band gauge, and I´m wondering where you have connected the positive wire on your Nytro?

Where is the easiest place to find a positive wire thats positive only when the ignition is on?

Thanks!

I hard wired mine straight to the battery with a switch, as I tried wiring into the key switch first and it didn't supply enough power as the gauges read wrong. I also wanted to keep my accessory clear as it has minimal output for charging gps or other 12volt accessorys.

I wired mine right on the gray harness that is on the back of the key can't remember which color wire it was. Easy to access and worked well.

Wire it to the lighter outlet. Grey harness is a poor power source and will affect gauge operation. This is what i was told from paul as i once had mine wired to the key switch.
Hope this helps

lost power.

The sled has to be running to have power here and u can also check the fuse for this it on the right side around the brake disc area.(from factory that is)

It may already be too late, but here's a recommendation:
According to the wiring diagram in the service manual, there is a load control relay. It controls power to 3 fuses at the main fuse block located left of chaincase: Signal fuse (3A), headlight fuse (20A), and auxilliary DC jack fuse (3A). Any wiring protected by these 3 fuses will give you power only when the engine is running.

I'd recommend wiring your gauges +connection into the blue/white wire coming from the load side of the 20A headlight fuse. Strip some insulation back, solder your wire to the blue/white wire, then tape everything up good. Your -connection can go directly to the negative terminal on the battery (use a suitable ring terminal on the end of your wire)

The DC jack wiring would also work fine, but it's only protected by a 3A fuse. That doesn't leave much circuit capacity for other gadgets.
