Where do I measure ski alignment from?

Wanna adjust my toe out on the new powder pro ski's, just wondering where to measure from for the proper to out. Could make a lot of difference where the tape measure gets placed.....Any thoughts out there?

All you do is lay a long 2x4 along side the track so it is running up through the ski and make the ski that has your handlebars straight parallel with the 2x4. When you get this done, pick a spot to go off of on the front somewhere, and to go off of on the back somewhere. Use the same spot on both skis front and back. On the PP's go 0-1/4" out in the front. Very simple and easy to do!

I agree with MillermanSD.....no one ever says where to measure at on the ski. 1/4" toe out at 6" in front of and in back of the spindle is a lot more toe out than 1/4" at the ski tip and the back of ski. I hope that made sense.

It does make sense, however I think you are just over thinking it. If you don't know where to get the 1/4" from, then just make it 0". You can't mess that up. It's a very simple procedure.

I measure from the straight edge as described above to the bolts coming out of the carbides. The carbide is a good point of reference when trying to align the ski with that straightedge.

We've done a couple sleds like this.

Run a chalk line from the back of the track to the front of the ski's and snap it on the concrete. I measure from the back of the carbide to the line and from the front of the carbide to the line. Adjust accordingly.
