There's been a lot of talk about this on here lately. I'm just curious to see who all donates to them

if you find a list let me know it's huge, and they keep that under lock and key, kinda like beating blood out of a rock. And theres something that makes me sick, this is just from anonymous donors.:mad::mad:

Internal Revenue Service forms show $47,898,118.40 in anonymous donations were given to the Sierra Club Foundation in the year 2000, and $53,593,640.00 in 2001. The LA Times reports, "Each of these donations was more than double the amount of all funds raised in each of the previous four years."

Another reason to GET OUT AND VOTE

Another reason to join SAWS and BRC...and buy a no-more wilderness shirt and try to get those snowest bumper stickers going....Naw that's just too much work.

Mission
The mission of The Sierra Club Foundation is to advance the preservation and protection of the natural environment by empowering the citizenry, especially democratically based grassroots organizations, with charitable resources to further the cause of environmental protection.

Programs
The Sierra Club Foundation administers tax deductible funds granted and contributed in support of projects that further the charitable purposes of The Foundation. The Sierra Club is the vehicle through which The Foundation generally fulfills its charitable mission.

To address environmental threats, The Sierra Club Foundation is funding the Sierra Club's decade-long effort called the Building Environmental Community (BEC) Campaign. The goal is to engage and mobilize environmental supporters in key national media markets and important regional locations nationwide, ensuring that these communities have the motivation and organizational capacity to win important environmental victories and challenge decision-makers on their actions on the environment.

To work toward our goals during the third year of our BEC campaign, The Sierra Club Foundation will fund:
*Staff and support BEC campaigns in 20 Sites of National Focus and 20 Sites of Regional Significance;
*Intense grassroots community organizing campaigns that emphasize continued one-on-one contact with environmental supporters;
*Educating the public and decision-makers about key environmental and public health issues, using powerful messages that are compelling to our selected audiences;
*Using media outreach and paid advertising to raise the profile of environmental protection issues;
*Involving the public in administrative decision-making processes; and
*Identifying and advancing one important local conservation issue at each site that is impacted by national and state environmental policies.

another great tid bit
When you give to the Sierra Club you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to preserve irreplaceable wildlands, save endangered and threatened wildlife, and protect this fragile environment we call home. You can be sure that your voice will be heard through congressional lobbying and grassroots action on the environmental issues that matter to you most.

We have a long way to go..........Thats why we need everyone we can get into SAWS and BRC.

I highly doubt all that $ goes to their causes! I am sure there are a few people getting rich off those donations!

One thing for sure.....DO NOT shop at REI!!!

I try my best to not shop at REI.....but they got so much great chit. ok ill stop:face-icon-small-dis

to best way for us to battle them is to show we respect the untouched nature just as much as any typical tree humper....i do my best to not give me mote ammo and curse the ones who do:beer;
