Putting a 166x2.4x2.52 pitch on an 01 800. Currently it has 9t drivers. I think 8t will work. Where is a good place to get them? Used or new.

If it's an inch and a quarter axle you can get eight tooth drivers from the dealer, use the ones off an 06 440 MXZ

Not sure on this, but I was told it is a 1.1 inch hex shaft. stock 01 summit 800.

I don't know the answer, but I'd love to see a picture of a 166 on a ZX. Don't think I've seen one that long before. I agree you probably need 8t drivers with that much track.

I think the 06 440 will fit. The 01 has 4 drivers, the 06 only uses 2. Can I get away with using 2 instead of 4?

r = radius

circumference
9 x 2.52 = 22.68
2 x (pi) x r = 22.68
r =3.610

8 x 2.52 = 20.16
2 x (3.14159) x r = 20.16
r = 3.209

difference in radius
3.610 - 3.209 = 0.401

If you are going from a 2 inch lug to a 2.4 inch lug, then that's pretty darn close.

Don't go used - taking the sprockets off the axle and then pushing them back onto another axle just doesn't work - the used sprocket is apt to spin on the axle over time.

SLP carries Wahl's no-slip drive sprockets. There are other retailers. Don't try to go cheap - you will pay in the long run.

So basically I will have .001 more clerance with the 2.4" track on 8t drivers than I did with the 2" track on 9t drivers. I think I can live with that. I am planning on buying new drivers.
What about the 4 standard drivers on the 2001, compared to the 2 anti-ratchet drivers on the 2006 440 mxz? Can I use the 2 Anti-ratchet and be good? Thanks.

I ordered the 06 MXZ 440 drivers, but now that I got them I don't think they fit. I don't think they are a 2.52 pitch. are there any other Factory drivers that I can order that are 2.52 8t 1 1/8 hex shaft?

What do you mean they won't fit? The track or the shaft? The shaft size will look smaller then your shaft but when you press them on they will make a tight fit. All those DOO's should be a 2.52 pitch I thought I suppose they just look different being a 8 instead of a 9 tooth

Driver Pitch

2006 MXzX 440 racer is 8T 2.86" pitch. You need the 8T 2.52" pitch for the stock shaft.

I put the driver in the track while the track was on the floor, and the drivers don't fit the lug pattern, and the extravert don't fit the holes in the track. I am finding out the 8t drivers out of the 06 mxz 440 are 2.86 pitch. I need 2.52 pitch.

Are there any other sleds that came stock with extravert drivers that may be 2.52 8t hex shaft that will fit the 01 skidoo shaft?
