2017 there was a lot of excitement around the ascender, I rode one in February and it made more power than the production sled I think. And people were losing their minds talking about new rolled chain case and lightweight gas tank
The early release ascender was a pound heavier than the 17 mountain cat. But the 18 mountain cat was a great sled, I liked them more than axys sleds, the track will still hold its own with what comes on sleds today.

I rode an early release 18 when i demoed the 19 alpha. It ran better than the alphas.
