Lets be honest, when there isnt the best snow to be riding, this forum's content is kinda on the quiet lame side!! So i would like to start a conversation that will strike up some fun and innocent trash talk conflict. Lets keep it classy.. OK so here we go i guess...

from the years 1990-1996, which sled was the king of the hill? Keep it to small mods, like pipe and can.

My opinion - 1995-96 Polaris XLT with triple pipes and stingers... Its was my first sled but thats not the reason! Had great power, was a ripper in the top end and for the year, it was that heavy!!

LETS GET IT ON!!

I agree with you! I have a 96 XLT in our stable and that thing rips for what it is. I remember the first time I got on it back in 96. I thought I had just sat on a mini jet plane with no wings. The sound of a piped 3 lunger sounds pretty cool too!

Couldnt agree more, i almost wish i could get that sound out of my dragon lol. Almost.

Well since I was 9-15 years old from 90 - 96 I would have to say I loved the 88 & 89 Phazers I rode. When I was 15 in 96 I finally moved to the new Vmax Mtn 600 tank which was so much more powerful than we thought we would ever need. LOL. It is quite amazing where the sleds have come in the last 15 years.

XLT hands down next that the bullet proof indy 500 I beat both those machines to death but still to this day when an XLT starts you know exactly what it is. I love that sound of the 680 tripple.

CTRVLSLDR - You don't/didn't love the sound of the "680" because it never held together for very long!! That Ultra (680) was garbage, though I did know a few that ripped when they would stay together for a few rides.

The "580" however in the XLT was a sweet motor back in the day and it seemed to make gas as your rode it too! I forgot all about those triples though when that 700 twin came out in '97.

We have 3 1991 Phazers with 1.5 lugs and the kids rock on them. How can you go wrong with handle bar turning headlights? haha

600 triples rocked. Just didn't transfer the power all that well. (hole diggers)

yep we still have our 2 phazers too. Now my dads grand kids are riding them and they are a great sled to start out on. a few more years and my kid will be out on them too. Well it will be at least 4 years since he is only 3. ha ha ha. Oh ya anybody have a 120 Polaris they need to get rid of. I need to get one by next christmas for my boy.
