I'am new to cat from Poo, bought a 09 M8 with BD box, timbersled clean air intake, y pipe, D&D pipe and a MBRP can, I'm not sure why they mixed the pipe and can but I read the manual for the BD box and it looks quite involved. I dont want to take a chance on burning down the motor. Can I just remove the box or do I need it with the other add ons. I dont have the money to swap the box and buy the other one, I think its the attitude. Thanks for any input!!!!!!!

You need a Boondocker (or other) box with the D&D Pipe and the Timbersled intake. Call D&D if you have any questions about your particular setup. They have BD specific tuning information on their site as well.

Lot of people complain about the BD box - I dunno. Took me 2-3 rides to dial it in completely the beginning of last year and have not touched it since. Runs like a top no matter where I'm at. It is really not that hard of a controller to figure out. Flame away !
yes, you need the box.....read the instructions, there are several good threads on the forum to help you also......go slow, make adjustments in small increments, i.e. one or two numbers at a time....it's not hard if you read the instructions a couple of times, then go out and start experimenting a bit...no big changes until you start to see what the small changes will do...i think too many people start hammering away on the box without a clear idea of what it is they are doing, then when the sled runs poorly, they blame it on the box...you can get good results with a little patience...good luck..

Sell the boondocker on ebay and buy a attitude ive found theres much less tuning and more riding with it
