My dealer here in the Seattle area said I should be getting the call around Sept 19th...
Can't wait to start fiddling with it, dry humping it, you know... all the usual preseason things
And for the record, I did ask my wife to give it to me on the new sled, and that comment just about got me divorced LOL!!![]()
thinking that this is the last year for the pro. one would think it would be the best quality one built yet. The fit and finish from 2011/12 to 13 was a big difference, now with all they learned about the 13 belt drive and the fixes they have to it, it should be great.
i might use your idea for divorcingLOL
Late builds have better odds of avoiding problems than early builds. Most of these sleds are assembled from vendor parts, both vendor QA and OEM QA get better over time, tolerances get narrower.
Regarding ordering late to avoid an early build - sorry, has nothing to do with production scheduling at an OEM. Build schedules have many competing dynamics, but when the order was placed is not one of them.
Yep, you want the most bulletproof, get to year 3+ of a chassis/motor combo. May not be bleeding edge, but the best gas n go stocker of the breed.
If there was a line in vegas, I'd bet the 2015 will still be the current pro chassis, with a new motor. 2016 new chassis. Poo is making too much jing from the current pro to change, and the other OEM's aren't killing it, not yet. 14 will be a great year to go pro if you want the highest form of the species.
I agree on the '14 that's why I ordered one. I don't agree on '15 - I already heard a rumor from a Polaris Pro hillclimb rider that they have been testing a new chassis for a while now. He was genuinely surprised that it wasn't released for '14 . We were checking out the new release together in March and I saw the look on his face. He had told me that there was a big surprise coming and he was pretty disappointed when it didn't show.
I think Polaris plans to be the first to have a sub 400lb sled from the factory.
Now if they would do something about icing - the Arctic Cat video was stupid but I did a bunch of testing late in the season and the video ain't exactly as far off as you might think.
