Whats your M8 weigh?

Have an 07 M8 with alot of mods to drop weight but I'm still weighing about 454 pounds with just coolant/.5gal gas in it. Local shop weighed a 09 162 with intake, can, valves no coolant at 426lbs. What am I missing here? My mods:

slp pipe set(also slp porting)
bdx intake
boss seat
bdx oil delete
bdx diamond drive
bdx trackshaft
bdx rotor
hood gutted
09 rear float suspension
float 2's up front
power claw

If I remember about .5 to 1.0 lb each side on the runningboards, And the rear tunnel is 3 to 4 lbs. Put in the lightweight bushing kit up front and call it a day. The coolant is going to weigh 8 lbs.+ .5 gal of gas = 3 lbs. Your not too far off then if you add 11 lbs. to theirs and subtract 16 from yours.

426? that would take $3000 in mods to get there. Mine was 489 when i brought it home.

Really the only important thing is that the weight of your sled is = to the weight of a duck. Have you ever seen a duck float? They just do it so effortless. Seriously it sounds like you have your sled lightened up quite nicely. I bet it's fun to ride.

That weight is hiding alot more lightweight parts!

My HCR completely stock and full of gas and oil weighs 550 lbs. Weighed on Gov scales at the sawmill where I work.


IMHO Soak'n'wet is the only true comparison. You can't fly without fuel!

I forgot I also did the bdx oil delete kit on aswell. Sled is a blast to ride! just wondering if I'm missing anything else.

If you are talking about Nathan's sled, it is 446lbs. My 07 m8 last year was 448lbs with no oil or gas, With my mods this summer, I am closer to 435-438lbs.

You could do a BDX Bumper and there Chromoly Suspension Kit.. or you could just ride it..

If your comparing an 07 with 09 doesnt the 07 have that heavy reverse.

I have an 09 M8 162 SP with just a boss seat and I believe it should be around 460 dry. With an intake, and can could loose 15lbs so I tink the 426 is actually more like 446 as stated above, your there just ride and have a good time doing it. Sounds like a well set up machine.

426# really sounds off to me. According to my math the sled would be stock at around 450# and that's not right. Your sled is set up very nicely so love it rally it!

Just weighted a 09 non snopro 153 bone stock all fluids full except gas and it was 475.
